POWER RANGERS TAKE FLIGHT

House Questionnaire

This questionnaire is asked as though all five Rangers were living together in one house.  It was simply used as a writing aid as I was developing the characters and is not meant to be taken as canon, particularly if a detail here contradicts something in the series.

PETE

Pete is laid-back about contributions toward property and chores, not seeing the need for rigid schedules or plans (though he keeps up with bills well).  He is communal, freely sharing his own property and regarding the house and its contents as free for public use.  He doesn't mind personal things left in common areas, being less than picky about household clutter.  He volunteers to cook often and is even willing to pay more than his fair share of the bills if others are disadvantaged or less able to pay.  Though he's not especially worried about privacy, he remains decent around the house.  He doesn't like to look "sloppy," but he is very quick getting ready in the mornings.

Pete watches TV during the daytime.  His favorite music is blues and jazz, but he tolerates Chris's grunge music.  He may have family and friends over on rare occasions, and he enjoys others' guests as long as they're decent people.  He goes to bed shortly after coming home at nights and wakes up before 7:00, but he sleeps heavily and isn't disturbed by most noise.

Though mildly permissive about smoking and alcohol, Pete takes a hard stance on crime; he furthermore doesn't want to know about his roommates having significant others spend the night.  He is okay with recycling and wouldn't mind pets.  He thinks of his teammates as family and doesn't see any of them in a romantic context.

How would you prefer to split the bills?
Well, when Chris and I did it, he took some of the bills and I took the rest.

Your attitude toward money?
I think I keep up with stuff pretty well, but I'm not, like, obsessed with finance or anything.

What if there are unforeseen expenses?
Gee, I don't know.  I guess we all pitch in as best we can.

Household cleaning?
Things don't have to be spotless or anything, but there's no point being filthy.  If it gets out of hand, we should probably split up the work.

Who does the laundry?
Well, Chris used to do both of ours.  But with this many people, maybe if someone volunteers for laundry duty they should get a discount from their expenses.

What are your heat and light preferences?
I've used my fair share of heating and air... No sense being uncomfortable.  Lights... you turn 'em on when you need 'em and off when you don't, right?  Nothing to it.

What household consumables would you like to share?
We're all in this together.  What's mine is yours, you know?

Home furnishings?
I'd want to take care of other people's furniture like it was mine, even if it's in the living room.  And, I mean, I'd ask before I decorated in a public room.

Personal property left in common areas?
Not a big deal.  I'll leave it where I find it.

Borrowing things?
Borrow away!  What's mine is yours, bro.

How seriously do you value your privacy?
I don't have any big secrets or anything in my room, so it doesn't bother me if someone comes in looking for something while I'm out.

Household clothing preferences?
Gotta stay decent, man.

Personal grooming?
I'm not obsessed with it, but I don't like to look sloppy.

How much time do you spend in the bathroom getting ready?
Hardly any.  I'm like a ninja.

How much time do you spend on the phone?  Long-distance?
I'm not a big phone person.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
When I'm not playing video games, I like to try new recipes.  Sometimes I just like to walk around and visit my friends at work during the middle of the day.

How often do you watch TV?  What shows?
Yeah, I watch a little TV during the day... sometimes some cooking shows, and sometimes some... you know, soap operas.  That kind of thing.

What kind of music do you listen to?
I like blues and jazz.  Some of Chris's music isn't bad, but I don't really know a lot of those alternative bands.

Where do you socialize?
I'll go out to parties, but I don't have people over very often.  Gotta respect my roommates.

What time do you go to bed?
I collapse right as soon as I get home.  That's, like, a little after 11.  I'm a heavy sleeper, though, so if other people stay up later it doesn't bother me.

What time do you get up?
I have to get up before 7:00 because I have an early shift.

Do you like to frequently entertain guests?
Maybe, I guess... but I don't hang out with a lot of people other than these guys.

Does your family live close by?  Do they like to visit with you?
I have kind of a big family.  They drop by every now and then, but they always call first.

Your attitude toward out-of-town friends?
Sure, as long as they're decent people.

How often should "significant others" stay the night?
I dunno, man... If that's going on, I don't wanna know about it.

How would you take the "Jenny in trouble" message?
"Your friend Jenny called, and she needs your help ASAP!  She's stranded at 11th and Main."

Personal security issues?
I'd probably get a little worried if someone was out all night, but I know they're probably fine.

Do you cook often?
Well, yeah!  Like, all the time...!

How often do you do your dishes?
Right away.  Usually while I'm cooking.

How long do your leftovers stay in the fridge?
What leftovers?

Vegetarian?
I have so many good recipes with meat in them...  I can't imagine going without it.

Is there food you can't or won't allow in the house?
I can't stand packaged foods, but I'm not the food police or anything.

Household pets?
Wouldn't bother me.  My family had a dog.

Recycling?
Oh, well, sure, I don't see why not.

Criminal activity?
No way, man.  This city's going to heck as it is.  The law's something to respect.

Household noise?
Doesn't bother me.  I'll sleep through anything.  I mean, we wouldn't want to disturb anyone who's visiting the cemetery - that'd be disrespectful.

Smoking?
I don't really like it, but I'm not gonna make a big deal about it.

Alcohol or drugs?
Drugs, no way.  I sometimes have a drink here or there if I'm out with people, but not a lot.  I'd be worried about someone who drank every day.

How much drama is in your life?
Not much.  I'm pretty easy-going.  If somebody's treating me wrong, I'll try to smooth things over, or I'll just give them some space.

Personal cosmology?
Well, I think there's some kind of dude out there watching over us... God, I guess.  But everyone's got their own way of connecting with him.

Your political outlook?
I don't really pay attention to that kind of stuff, but I guess people should be allowed to do what they want to, as long as they're not getting out of hand.  And it'd be nice if somebody could clean up the crime in the city.

What bothers you in a roommate?
Jeez, I dunno.  I guess somebody who's way too uptight.

Roommate relationships?
We're like a family.  It's great living with your four best friends.  ... Wait, you mean, like, romantic?  Oh, that'd be really weird.  I don't look at them that way.

CHRIS

Chris has a laid-back, no-nonsense view of household duties, feeling many issues aren't worth discussing.  He will share his belongings but doesn't generally regard food as community property.  He doesn't spend much time downstairs and therefore doesn't feel especially attached to its state of cleanliness.  He expects others to respect the privacy of his room (the attic) despite not feeling he has anything to hide.  He doesn't take long getting ready in the mornings due to his low emphasis on beauty.

Chris only watches TV out of boredom, and if it's already on.  He listens to a variety of music but leans toward grunge.  He goes to bed around 11:30 (whenever he feels like it), often staying up to draw, and wakes up at 7:45, always arriving to work right on time.  Though he visits his grandmother often, he never has guests over and doesn't like putting on a show for other people's guests.  He stays out of Pete's way in the kitchen; his food preferences are nearly vegetarian with some poultry and seafood.

Chris would probably tolerate most pets despite his external aloofness.  He is a moderate proponent of recycling.  He claims that he wouldn't snitch on someone, encouraging the police to do their own job.  He is fairly permissive about smoking, drugs, and alcohol despite opting out himself.  He is politically liberal and an unapologetic atheist, though he doesn't try to coerce others into agreeing with him.  He doesn't have any problems with his roommates and finds the idea of inter-team romance unexpected but not necessarily out of the question.

How would you prefer to split the bills?
Pete took some and I took some others.  Seems like he volunteers to pay a lot of them though.

Your attitude toward money?
I pay my bills on time, but there's more important stuff in life too, so it doesn't, like, consume me or anything.

What if there are unforeseen expenses?
We'll work something out.  It's not a big deal.

Household cleaning?
Cleaning's not really my thing, but if I make a mess, I'll clean it up.  Pete and I also used to split the cleaning to be fair.

Who does the laundry?
Well, I did it back at Parkview, but I'm sure as heck not washing five people's clothes.  We'd better just all do our own.

What are your heat and light preferences?
Pete uses the air more than I need, but I don't complain.  I also tend to leave the lights off more than he does.  My room upstairs is probably dark to most people.

What household consumables would you like to share?
Well, I mean, I'd rather they asked me first, but yeah, I'll share.  But, I mean, I wouldn't ask to take your food.

Home furnishings?
It's not my space anyway, so I'm not gonna mess with it.

Personal property left in common areas?
Not my problem.  It's not my scene anyway.

Borrowing things?
I kind of favor a "don't mess with my stuff and I won't mess with yours" attitude, but if somebody asks, I doubt I'd say no.

How seriously do you value your privacy?
Well, I don't go barging into other people's rooms, and I'd expect them not to come into mine.  It's not like I'm hiding anything.  It's just... my space, you know?

Household clothing preferences?
It doesn't seem like a big deal to me, but I'm not gonna go around flashing anybody or anything.

Personal grooming?
Well, I take a shower every day, but beyond that it's just vanity.

How much time do you spend in the bathroom getting ready?
Well, I'm not the Flash like Pete is, but I'm pretty quick.

How much time do you spend on the phone?  Long-distance?
I call R.J. and Danny every now and then, but that's just to see if they want to hang out.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I draw a lot.  Sometimes I hang out with my friends, but I'm usually happy just chilling out by myself.  Oh, and Pete and I sometimes play video games.

How often do you watch TV?  What shows?
It's mostly crap, but sometimes if I'm bored I'll watch stuff with Pete.

What kind of music do you listen to?
There are some pretty decent grunge bands.  I'm open-minded to lots of music though, as long as it's not too sugary.

Where do you socialize?
I go to my friends when I'm bored.  I don't throw parties.

What time do you go to bed?
About 11:30, I guess.  Whenever I feel like it.  Sometimes I used to stay up and draw after Pete went to his room.

What time do you get up?
I get up at 7:45, and I'm always at work on time.

Do you like to frequently entertain guests?
Nah, my home's like my bunker from the world.  I don't have guests over unless I have to.

Does your family live close by?  Do they like to visit with you?
My grandmother lives a few blocks down, but I go to see her - she doesn't come up here.

Your attitude toward out-of-town friends?
I'd probably stay out of the way if there were guests.  I don't really like having to put on a show for people.

How often should "significant others" stay the night?
Whatever, man.  That's your business.

How would you take the "Jenny in trouble" message?
"Some girl named Jenny called a while back.  She sounded pretty desperate for some help."

Personal security issues?
I don't really keep tabs on people.  I guess if nobody saw them for a while we should look into it though.

Do you cook often?
Nah, not really.  Pete's the one who's always in the kitchen, so I stay out of his way.

How often do you do your dishes?
I guess I let them sit sometimes, but never more than a day.

How long do your leftovers stay in the fridge?
Well, if they started to reek, I'd toss 'em out, but Pete usually asks about them before I'd even remember.

Vegetarian?
I'm pretty close to vegetarian, but I still eat some chicken and fish.

Is there food you can't or won't allow in the house?
Nah.  Whatever's fine.

Household pets?
Uhh, I guess so.  Maybe not, like, a big dog though...  And nothing too noisy.

Recycling?
Sure, yeah.  If there's recycling in the area, I say go for it.

Criminal activity?
I'm not a criminal, but I'm not a snitch either.  Let the police do their own job.

Household noise?
I like time to myself, so take it easy down there, huh?

Smoking?
I quit after high school, but some of my friends still smoke.  That's their call.

Alcohol or drugs?
Well, yeah, I've tried 'em...  But I've seen some people get pretty messed up on that stuff, so I'm not a really big fan.  Then again, it's not really my call to make.

How much drama is in your life?
Hopefully none.  There are people who tick me off, but I don't make a big deal about it.  If somebody's really trying to mess with me, I'll just leave the room.

Personal cosmology?
Religion's all a big myth.  We're here on a big dirtball, we die... get over it.

Your political outlook?
People are way too uptight about stupid stuff when they could be helping people who really need it.

What bothers you in a roommate?
Somebody who's too high-drama, too noisy, too hyper, too intrusive...  I could go on...

Roommate relationships?
I don't have any problems with anyone here.  ... Romantic?  Well, I guess... I dunno.

CASEY

Casey is somewhat scatterbrained about finances, expecting things to take care of themselves.  She is sometimes wasteful of food, water, heating and air, and electricity (sometimes all at once).  Agreeable to a group cleaning schedule, she will likely put people's things back in their rooms if they're left in common areas.  She doesn't have problems with friends borrowing things (even from her room).  She takes the longest (though not excessively long) to get ready, valuing her appearance.  While not ashamed of her body, she maintains an average level of modesty but would be comfortable in a swimsuit.

Casey watches a small handful of dramas on TV and listens to pop and old country music.  Though her family and friends don't come over often (the latter a practical issue due to the team's identities), Casey would enjoy having a party at the team's house if it were possible.  She enjoys meeting new people but is conservative about others having significant others spend the night.  She goes to bed shortly after coming home from work and rises early to exercise each morning.  She eats healthily (nearly vegetarian) and might give innocent tips on ways people could eat more healthily; she also doesn't like to be around cigarettes, alcohol, or drugs at all.  She would love a pet.  She recycles avidly.  Her criminal activity involves occasional speeding on the highway.

Casey is the most talkative of the group regarding her personal problems.  She would be turned off by people who are constantly grouchy, though she might be just as likely to want to cheer them up.  She laments the lack of family values and believes in God but doesn't believe the Bible is necessarily the only path to Him.  She has a running crush on Chris but doesn't wish to divulge this information to the team.

How would you prefer to split the bills?
I don't know... I'll just give my check to whoever's in charge.

Your attitude toward money?
I forget to write the check sometimes, but I'll pay for the late fees if I cause any problems.

What if there are unforeseen expenses?
Oh, like what?  ... I don't know, I figured there'd be some house fund for that kind of stuff.

Household cleaning?
Couldn't we all pitch in to hire somebody?  ... No?  Well, I'll do my share.  I'd rather hire somebody though.

Who does the laundry?
Oh.  Well, maybe we could make a schedule or something?

What are your heat and light preferences?
Heat, air, lights... I like them all.  Why wouldn't you use them?  I mean, sometimes I forget to turn off a light or fix the air before I leave, but who doesn't, right?

What household consumables would you like to share?
Well, it's everyone's stuff, right?  We all pitch in, and we all get to use it, right?

Home furnishings?
Well, if I put out something nice, I assume people will be respectful with it.

Personal property left in common areas?
Well, if it's my turn to clean up and they left their stuff out, I guess I'd put it back in their room.

Borrowing things?
Sure, come borrow whatever you want.  I mean, just ask first, of course.

How seriously do you value your privacy?
What, like if somebody's coming to borrow something?  That's fine, I guess.

Household clothing preferences?
I'm not, like, ashamed of my body or anything, but I'm not strutting around in my underwear, if that's what you're saying.  A swimsuit's fine though if we go out to the pool or the lake.

Personal grooming?
I'm not a fashion diva or anything, but I like to look my best.  It just comes naturally to me...  Hee hee, just kidding!  Uh, sort of...

How much time do you spend in the bathroom getting ready?
Um... only what's necessary.  Like, what's too long?

How much time do you spend on the phone?  Long-distance?
I've got a few friends I get in touch with every now and then.  But not many of them are long-distance.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I like to exercise.  I also used to like to travel, but I haven't booked any trips since I became a Ranger.

How often do you watch TV?  What shows?
I don't really watch much TV, but I guess there are a couple of dramas I like.

What kind of music do you listen to?
I listen to all kinds of music, but my favorites are pop and old country music.

Where do you socialize?
Well, I'd like to have some parties here, but with our Ranger duties that doesn't seem very practical.

What time do you go to bed?
I'm usually in bed a little after eleven.  Sooner if I'm off work that night.

What time do you get up?
I get up right at seven to go work out at the gym every morning.

Do you like to frequently entertain guests?
Sure!  But I haven't had any parties at my place since I got involved with the Rangers.

Does your family live close by?  Do they like to visit with you?
My parents live right down in Fairplain.  They visit every now and then, sometimes without calling, but it's not very often.  I don't see my brothers as often, except for Todd right after he got us the house.

Your attitude toward out-of-town friends?
Sure!  It'd be fun to meet new people.

How often should "significant others" stay the night?
Oh, well, I don't think we should have those types of people around because of our identities, you know?  But even still, I don't think you should really be doing that kind of thing unless you're married... or at least really committed.

How would you take the "Jenny in trouble" message?
"Oh my gosh, your friend Jenny called around 2:30, and her car broke down, and she's waiting for you at 11th and Main, and I tried to call her a taxi, but she said she'd wait for you, so I said okay, and that was like an hour ago."

Personal security issues?
Yeah, I get kinda worried if somebody's gone unexpectedly.  I'd tell somebody where I was going before I left.

Do you cook often?
No, not really.  I eat out or order in a lot.

How often do you do your dishes?
I clean up after I eat.  I'm not a slob or anything.  I don't mind if other people's dishes are in the set I'm washing either.

How long do your leftovers stay in the fridge?
I don't really keep leftovers.  I usually just throw them away.

Vegetarian?
I'm mostly a vegetarian, but I still eat seafood sometimes.

Is there food you can't or won't allow in the house?
Well, I don't like junk food...  I'm a pretty healthy eater.  But I guess it's fine if other people want to eat that stuff.  I just don't think it's good for their bodies.

Household pets?
I love animals!  I'd like to have a puppy, or maybe a kitty.

Recycling?
I'm totally into recycling.  I'll drive some stuff to the recycling center if they won't take it off the street.

Criminal activity?
Well, I guess I break the speed limit sometimes, but that's about it.  I don't know whether I'd turn somebody in if I found out they committed a crime... that's tough.  I guess I'd try to talk to them about it first.

Household noise?
As long as it's not keeping me awake, I don't mind.

Smoking?
Ew, no.  Don't do it in the house.  I guess take it outside if you have to, but it's really not good for you.

Alcohol or drugs?
No way.  I don't want any of that stuff anywhere near me.

How much drama is in your life?
Well, not too much.  I think I'm pretty easy-going, but I guess I'm the most talkative person in the house when something's bothering me.

Personal cosmology?
Oh, there's definitely a God, but I don't think the Bible's necessarily the only path to Him.

Your political outlook?
Well, I guess there are some family values that are getting lost in our society, but I'm not going to vote for somebody just because of that.

What bothers you in a roommate?
Somebody who's grouchy all the time.

Roommate relationships?

MAGGIE

Maggie is the most organized of the group regarding finances and will likely establish plans for bill-paying and even household chores; she will likely be the person to whom her roommates give their checks for their part of the expenses.  She will likely advocate sharing household products, with the possible exception of food.  She might or might not be bothered enough by clutter in common areas to move it back to the owner's room.  She appreciates people asking before they borrow things and expects everyone knows the difference between public and private rooms.

Though not greatly concerned with fashion or beauty, Maggie does keep good personal hygiene and is shy about being seen in revealing dress.  She often keeps to herself, but when not studying, she can be seen reading the classics (a pastime some mistake for studying) or talking long-distance to her parents in China.  She likes pop and classical music and doesn't watch TV often.  She goes to bed early and rises at 7:00 for her normal (relaxed) morning routine.  She is quietly polite around guests and minds her business regarding significant others staying the night (whether it does or doesn't actually bother her).

Maggie is very law-abiding and dislikes loudness, smoking, and drinking; if she were around someone drunk or on drugs, however, her first concern would be ensuring their personal safety.  She supports recycling and is relatively apolitical.  She believes in only that which she can observe and verify.  She enjoys living with friends but wouldn't necessarily expect the same from future roommates.

How would you prefer to split the bills?
Well, I don't mind managing the bills if people are sure to give me their contributions on time.

Your attitude toward money?
I'm very diligent about my payments, and if I'm in charge of the finances, I'd want everybody to be punctual with their contributions.

What if there are unforeseen expenses?
We should split them up evenly... maybe with some sort of house fund for emergencies.

Household cleaning?
We all need to do our share.  Probably some sort of written schedule.

Who does the laundry?
Again, a schedule's probably a good idea.  We could combine loads, like the guys take turns doing theirs together, and Casey and I take turns doing ours together.

What are your heat and light preferences?
I'm frugal with the heat, but then I like the cold more than other people.  I try not to use too much AC or lighting when it's not essential.

What household consumables would you like to share?
Well, if there's a grocery fund, we could all share things like soap and toilet paper.  But I'd think we'd all have our own food, assuming there's room for it all.

Home furnishings?
Anything in the shared area should be treated respectfully.  I'd probably ask before decorating, unless it was something small.

Personal property left in common areas?
I might grumble a little bit if people leave junk out too much, but I doubt I'd do anything about it.  ... Okay, maybe I would.  Depends how long it's been there.

Borrowing things?
Ask first, please.

How seriously do you value your privacy?
There are shared rooms and private rooms.  I think everybody here respects that.

Household clothing preferences?
You'll only ever see me fully dressed, I'm afraid.  And I doubt you'll ever see me in a bathing suit.

Personal grooming?
Looks aren't very important to me, but I shower every day for sure.

How much time do you spend in the bathroom getting ready?
Not too much.  My hair takes a while to dry, that's all.

How much time do you spend on the phone?  Long-distance?
I talk with my parents just about every week for a decent amount of time, but I have a special long-distance plan for that.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I usually don't have a lot of free time because of my classwork, but I do like to read the classics.

How often do you watch TV?  What shows?
No, I don't watch much TV at all.  Sometimes educational shows, but that's about it.

What kind of music do you listen to?
I like pop and classical music.

Where do you socialize?
Socialize?

What time do you go to bed?
I'm usually in bed before eleven.

What time do you get up?
I get up early at 7:00.  I have a relaxed morning routine that I don't like to go without.

Do you frequently entertain guests?
No no no...  I'm kind of a recluse.

Does your family live close by?  Do they like to visit with you?
My parents are living in China right now.  I visit them when I can.

Your attitude toward out-of-town friends?
I'll be polite, but I'm not a great entertainer.

How often should "significant others" stay the night?
Uhh, I guess that's not really my business, as long as they respect the rules of the house.

How would you take the "Jenny in trouble" message?
"Your friend Jenny called at 2:30.  She's having car trouble, and she's waiting for you to call her back."

Personal security issues?
I'd call the police or start looking for you if you've been gone 48 hours.

Do you cook often?
Sure, there are lots of Chinese dishes that I like to make myself.  But a lot of times when I'm too busy I just stick with the packaged foods.

How often do you do your dishes?
I do them as soon as I'm done.

How long do your leftovers stay in the fridge?
Just a couple days.  I eat them up pretty quickly.

Vegetarian?
I eat meat.

Is there food you can't or won't allow in the house?
No, anything's fine.

Household pets?
I haven't had one, but I wouldn't mind a cat or a small dog, I suppose.

Recycling?
We should all recycle what we can.

Criminal activity?
I'm very law-abiding.  I haven't ever turned anybody in for anything, but then again, it hasn't come up yet.

Household noise?
I'd like some peace and quiet for my studies.  If I'm downstairs taking a break, I guess I still wouldn't like it very noisy.  I'd probably leave if people were getting too carried away.

Smoking?
I don't even like the smell, even if you go outside to do it.  You still reek when you come back in.

Alcohol or drugs?
Neither.  If somebody around me were drunk or on drugs, I'd keep an eye on them to make sure they didn't hurt themselves.

How much drama is in your life?
I mostly keep problems to myself.

Personal cosmology?
I believe in what I can observe and verify.

Your political outlook?
I don't really follow politics very much.

What bothers you in a roommate?
Sloppiness would be kind of annoying.  Or somebody who's always bringing guests over.

Roommate relationships?
It's nice living around friends, but I wouldn't necessarily expect that from every roommate situation if I got into one in the future.

LUKE

Luke is a very agreeable fellow, arguably to the point of being wimpy.  He seems to lack his own opinions regarding household rules but, when given a moment to reflect on his own preferences, tends to lean toward diplomacy and harmony.  He would find it ideal if people with more to give would occasionally help those in need, as in the case of a housemate in hard times.  He is respectful toward house rules and always turns off the lights when he leaves a room.  He believes in the benefit of a household meeting if conflicts arise.  He doesn't mind people borrowing things unless he can't find it and hasn't been informed.  He respects the unspoken rule not to go into others' rooms without asking.

Luke is neat by nature and modest in dress.  He doesn't watch TV often, instead reading and listening to various types of music (some Christian).  Though not a wild guy, he rarely turns down invitations to parties, enjoying the opportunity to talk to new people.  He is usually in bed by eleven (though he reads a while) and rises early.  He doesn't bring guests over often, respecting his teammates' privacy.  Though he doesn't approve of significant others sleeping over, he would not shun a guest of the house.  He is occasionally forgetful about his dishes or leftovers in the fridge despite good intentions.  Though not a vegetarian, he respects people who are.

Luke loves dogs.  He is well-intentioned (but sometimes forgetful) about recycling.  He believes in the Bible but admits parts may be figurative lessons rather than literal history.  Though disapproving toward crime, alcohol, drugs, and smoking, he feels people's lives can be improved through love and encouragement rather than harsh retribution.  He hopes the team's living situation doesn't cause undue conflict, and he believes inter-team romance would be a somewhat dangerous complication.

How would you prefer to split the bills?
However the rest of the house decides is fine with me.  I guess a group account is a fine idea.

Your attitude toward money?
I don't think I've missed any payments.  If I do miss one, I'll be calling the company to apologize.

What if there are unforeseen expenses?
Well, we'll split them evenly, I suppose... unless someone is in a better position than someone else to cover an unexpected expense, then they might volunteer to help out.

Household cleaning?
We should all do our share.  A schedule's probably a good idea to keep it fair.

Who does the laundry?
Probably a schedule again.  No reason one person should do it more than anybody else.

What are your heat and light preferences?
Oh, well, I'm fine with whatever everyone else is comfortable at, temperature-wise.  As for the lights, my mom always told me to turn them off when you leave the room, and that's what I do.

What household consumables would you like to share?
Doesn't really matter to me... either way.  A grocery fund's fine.

Home furnishings?
It's generous of people to share their furniture in the common areas, but you have to know that there'll be some wear and tear on it.  It's unavoidable.

Personal property left in common areas?
I probably wouldn't move anything, but if it becomes a problem, I think we could all discuss it reasonably in a household meeting.

Borrowing things?
Sure, I'll share, as long as they bring it back sometime.  I guess if they took it without telling me and I can't find it then that'd be a problem, but other than that it's fine.

How seriously do you value your privacy?
I'm a pretty open person, but it's sort of an unspoken agreement not to go into other people's rooms without asking.

Household clothing preferences?
Clothed.  I wouldn't go wandering around in pajamas.  Well, pajamas for me are boxers and a shirt, so that kind of rules that out.

Personal grooming?
I like to clean myself up as best I can each day, just for personal pride.

How much time do you spend in the bathroom getting ready?
Pretty average, I'd say.

How much time do you spend on the phone?  Long-distance?
I don't make a lot of calls.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I like going on walks and reading about nature.

How often do you watch TV?  What shows?
I don't watch TV very often... sometimes the news to stay informed.

What kind of music do you listen to?
A mix, I guess... rock, pop, easy listening.  There are some good Christian bands too.

Where do you socialize?
I don't organize lavish parties or anything, but I've had friends over from time to time.  I also probably wouldn't turn down an invitation, unless it's really not my scene or something.  And of course there are plenty of church gatherings.

What time do you go to bed?
I'm usually in bed a little after eleven, but I like to read a while.

What time do you get up?
I get up at 6:30.  I just can't bring myself to sleep in late, even if I don't have to be at work until 9:30.

Do you like to frequently entertain guests?
I might bring a friend over to meet the group, but not too often.

Does your family live close by?  Do they like to visit with you?
My parents live up in Brighton, but we don't see each other a lot.  They definitely wouldn't visit without warning.

Your attitude toward out-of-town friends?
New people are interesting to get to know.  I'd enjoy it.

How often should "significant others" stay the night?
That's probably not the best idea, but I wouldn't shun anybody if they were a guest of the house.

How would you take the "Jenny in trouble" message?
Well, I'd try to go help her with her car and leave a note at the house.

Personal security issues?
I'd ask around if I hadn't seen somebody after a while.

Do you cook often?
Here and there... nothing special though.

How often do you do your dishes?
I guess I've forgotten about them a couple times, but I usually clean them up pretty quickly.

How long do your leftovers stay in the fridge?
I don't know... a few days, I guess.  It's possible I could forget about something.

Vegetarian?
I eat meat, but I respect people who choose not to.

Is there food you can't or won't allow in the house?
Hmmm, no...  Like what?

Household pets?
Oh, I love dogs.  Cats... not a problem.  They don't really do much anyway, right?

Recycling?
Yeah, recycling's a good idea.  I'll try to remember to recycle what I can.

Criminal activity?
I stay on the right side of the law unless I think someone's life could be turned around by my letting them work out their own issues.  Then I might leave it to them to straighten themselves with God and the law.

Household noise?
As long as we don't disturb the neighbors or anyone trying to sleep, then I've got no problems.

Smoking?
It's not for me, but it doesn't mean someone's a bad person just because they smoke.

Alcohol or drugs?
I don't drink personally, but a little now and then probably isn't too harmful.  If I knew somebody who used drugs, I'd try to talk them out of it.

How much drama is in your life?
Not much.  I'm usually glad to talk about what's going on in my life if somebody's curious, but I don't think I just.. unload on people very often.  Plus, I mean, life's too short to get upset about little things.

Personal cosmology?
I believe in the Holy Bible, although it's possible certain parts are more figurative lessons than literal history.

Your political outlook?
I'm fairly middle-of-the-road, I guess...  I'd like for people to be closer to God, but that doesn't mean they don't deserve love in the meantime.

What bothers you in a roommate?
I'm pretty patient with people.  If they were just really disrespectful of people and refused to talk about it, then that'd get to be a problem.

Roommate relationships?
It's great to be around friends, though I hope household conflicts don't create much friction on the team.  As for a romantic relationship, I'm not sure how well that would work out.  It's probably not a good idea.
